Check these out! Every week, I’ll give you a nut shell version of an already-published thriller that you can pick up to start your weekend.
This legal thriller generated excitement a full year before it was published. An explosion rocks a small Mid-Atlantic town when a hyperbaric oxygen tank explodes, taking the lives of two passengers and horribly injuring others. Was it an accident, or was it murder? The story is tense, the plot intricately crafted, and the characters beautifully layered. The legal case it made more complicated by the fact that everyone involved is lying to the cops and the court. Newlyweds Helen and Nate buy land in rural Vermont, planning to build their own house and live largely off the land. It’s a real bargain, and soon they find out why; the ghost of Hattie Breckenridge already lives there. It’s not long before Hattie is the central focus of their lives, and nothing good can come of it. You’ll want to sleep with the lights on when you read this one–if you can sleep at all. https://seattlebookmamablog.org/2019/04/26/the-invited-by-jennifer-mcmahon/
